the goal
We plan to implement a design that improves the user experience by maximizing the amount of product that can be extracted, while also implementing a branding strategy that exhibits the innovative and beautiful qualities that define GOLDEN.
every drop counts
We narrowed down our ideas to focus on one direction: allowing the consumer to get as much of the product out as possible.
As a team we ideated and prototyped different forms to discover which one did this the most successfully. Refining these 6 different ideas ultimately lead us to the final form.

storage
Although the pouch form had benefits, one of the downsides was storing it. The soft, flexible form of the pouch would not stand up when the paint inside depleted with each use.
After researching how different artists store their paint, we found that lots of consumers store their paint by DIY hanging.
Knowing this we felt confident that consumers would be open to a product form that allowed to store it by hanging.

the solution

the paint pouch
STORAGE
As a solution to the storage, the pouch has a standard tab incision on the top allowing the paint to be stored using rods or hooks.
POUCH
An interior bladder holds the paint where it sits inside an exterior ziplock pouch. This flexible pouch form allows the consumer to squeeze much more out than a bottle.

CAP EXTENSION
A spout cap sits nested in the crease of the interior bladder when zipped. The cap then extends outward when unzipped to smoothly dispense paint.
